Individual is the simple choice for one listener. Family makes sense when eligible people in the same home each need their own Premium account.
Individual is one Premium account for one person. Family is a shared bill for eligible household members, with separate Spotify accounts and recommendations for each member. It is not one login shared by a group.

Spotify requires members to live at the plan manager's address and may ask members to verify it. Supported member counts vary by market, so check the Family plan page for your country. Spotify also limits how often a member can switch plans. A lower price is not a reason to enter an address where you do not live.
If two or more eligible listeners live together, divide the Family total by the number of users to see the cost per person. Then compare that with each person's Individual total. Taxes, local pricing, promotions and renewal terms can change the result. Avoid assuming a price quoted in another country applies to you.
